McDonald's in crisis as hacker used their Twitter account to call Trump ‘Disgusting’

The McDonald’s corporate Twitter account (@McDonaldsCorp) was hacked to publish a tweet calling Donald Trump “a disgusting excuse for a president.”, as Adweek reports.

The following post was made by a hacker who secured access to the corporate account

The brand later posted this response:

Twitter notified us that our account was compromised. We deleted the tweet, secured our account and are now investigating this.
